Caribbean leaders met with Haiti's embattled Prime Minister Ariel Henry to discuss unrelenting gang violence in Haiti. Bahamian Foreign Minister Fred Mitchell stated that opposition leaders and other groups in Haiti oppose Henry, despite attempts from the regional trade bloc Caricom to help. Mitchell added that the international community questions how Haiti would function if Henry resigns or is removed, suggesting a political solution is needed.
