Between Jan. 1 and Feb. 24, three people were killed by hyenas in Sengerema, a district in Mwanza region, northern Tanzania, according to an official. The victims include a 16-year-old boy, a 70-year-old farmer, and a 16-year-old girl. The Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) has begun hunting down the hyenas, with five already killed by TAWA game rangers.
