A 46-year-old Tampa bicyclist was killed after being hit by a truck on US-301 on Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at around 7:58 p.m., as the cyclist was heading north near Ayersworth Glen Boulevard, and the truck driver was also northbound in a Ford F150. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
