Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, conducted a test run of the Red Line train, inspecting its tracks, rail corridors, and comfort facilities ahead of its inauguration by President Bola Tinubu. The 37-km rail line, built by Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), travels through 7 stations from Agbado, Ogun State to Oyingbo, Lagos Central. Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of residents following safety measures and addressed pedestrian interference and unapproved activities along the corridor. Train operation will commence with regular trips every 15 minutes, and enforcement will continue against illegal use of the rail corridor to maintain safety.
