Austria's Jonas Schuster and Germany's Markus Eisenbichler set record-breaking jumps of 456 feet at the Giant Pine ski event in Wisconsin, surpassing the modern record. Schuster won the Continental Cup opener, beating teammate Francisco Moerth, while Eisenbichler secured third place. Fredrik Villumstad of Norway rounded out the top five. The second Continental Cup competition followed later in the day.
