American Airlines launched the first scheduled international commercial jet service at Ian Fleming International Airport in Jamaica on Feb 24, 2024.
American Airlines inaugurated its third destination in Jamaica with a historic flight from Miami International Airport to Ian Fleming International Airport in Boscobel, St Mary, on February 24, 2024. The Embraer 175 aircraft carried 71 passengers, marking the first scheduled international commercial jet service at the airport. The new route, branded as 'Ocho Rios Jamaica,' will operate twice a week on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
