Washington's apple exports to India have increased significantly after India lifted a 20% tariff on US apples in September. This followed tariffs imposed by India in response to the US's imposition of tariffs on Indian steel and aluminum. As a result, Washington's share of the Indian apple market rose from 1% to shipping 1.3 million cartons to India.
