Human remains found in DeKalb County, Alabama in 1991 have been identified through genetic genealogy as Rainbow King, a 22-year-old from Tompkinsville, Kentucky. The remains were discovered by a hunter in a wooded area near County Road 51 and Alabama Highway 227, sparking a decades-long mystery. DNA samples were sent to a non-profit lab in Utah for analysis and whole-genome sequencing, leading to the identification of King.
