Queensland Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath announced she will not contest the next state election, ending her political career spanning almost 20 years. D'Ath, who is the Redcliffe MP, will continue in her role until the October poll before stepping away. She cited many considerations for her decision, but noted it was time to find more balance in her life after almost 17 years of service to the people of Queensland.
