Pernod Ricard India signs MoU with Maharashtra government to establish a malt spirits distillery in Butibori, Nagpur with a €200M ($238M) investment. The largest in India, the distillery will produce up to 60,000 liters of malt spirit daily and aims to employ up to 700-800 people, procuring up to 50,000 tonnes of barley annually from local farmers. The project aligns with PM Modi's 'Make in India' initiative and will potentially boost socio-economic landscape and allied sectors in Maharashtra.
