A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck Aheqi County in Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of Kizilsu, Xinjiang, China with no casualties reported, according to authorities. The epicenter was located at 41.12 degrees north latitude and 78.54 degrees east longitude, 23 km away from Akqi County seat and 58 km from Wushi, Aksu Prefecture. No casualties or collapsed houses have been reported as of 9 a.m. Saturday.
