Irish judge calls for Rock of Dunamase speed limit reduction to 30 km/h after fatal accident involving unaccompanied learner driver.
A Circuit Court judge in Ireland has called for a speed limit reduction at Rock of Dunamase after a fatal accident involving unaccompanied learner driver, Jamie Kearns, who was convicted for causing the death of US tourist Laura Jones. The judge sentenced Kearns to 15 months in jail and disqualified him from driving for 15 years. The judge urged Laois County Council to lower the speed limit on the road from the current 80 km/h to 30 km/h, stating that such a measure could prevent further tragedies.
