Fort Worth police officer in Crime Scene Unit injured in car crash, now improving; Traffic Unit investigating.
A Fort Worth police officer was injured in a car crash on Friday morning near downtown while on duty in a marked police vehicle. The officer, part of the Crime Scene Unit, was taken to a local hospital in serious condition but is now improving. The Traffic Unit is currently investigating the accident. The Fort Worth Police Department expressed gratitude to the Fort Worth Fire Department, hospital staff, and MedStar for their prompt response and care for the injured officer.
