Emil Barchesan, 37, was fined €250 at Thurles District Court for carrying a realistic imitation firearm in his waistband on a train in Ireland. The arresting guard considered the situation serious and involved local and armed support units. Barchesan claimed he collects imitation guns and never intended to use it as a weapon, but the court concluded the man should not carry such an item in public.
