Charlotte business owner sentenced to two years in prison.

A Charlotte business owner, Evan Agustin Perez, has been sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to pay $720,000 to the Small Business Administration after pleading guilty to COVID-19 fraud schemes involving the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Perez submitted fraudulent applications to obtain the loans, which were meant to help small businesses recover from the pandemic.
