Canada has pledged CAD 123 million to enhance Haiti's security, with CAD 80.5 million supporting a Kenyan-led mission to help improve security conditions for the civilian population in Haiti. This includes aiding the Haitian National Police through training, communications, and logistics support, as well as providing expertise in human rights due diligence. The mission, authorized by the UN Security Council, aims to address issues such as gang-related sexual and gender-based violence and improve border management capacities, in addition to the $42.5 million allocated for five structuring projects addressing Haiti's pressing issues.
