Australian companies' gender pay gap data to be publicly disclosed for the first time by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency for accountability and change.

Up to 5000 Australian companies' gender pay gap data will be made public for the first time, aiming to accelerate change and give women the information needed to hold employers accountable. The Workplace Gender Equality Agency, led by Mary Wooldridge, will collect and publish this data, but avoids labeling it a "naming and shaming" exercise. The disclosure is designed to encourage employers to address the issue.
