AIIMS Kalyani in West Bengal, scheduled for virtual inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, does not have environmental clearance, according to the West Bengal Pollution Control Board. The 960-bed hospital, which began operations in 2019, is allegedly operating under the "violation" category as its construction process started before the application for environmental clearance.
