United Airlines plans to resume Newark-Tel Aviv flights.

United Airlines plans to resume flights to Israel from Newark, New Jersey, in March, following a detailed safety analysis and consultation with security experts and government officials. Flights will initially operate from Newark to Tel Aviv with a stop in Munich on March 2 and 4, with the aim to begin daily service on March 6 and add a second daily flight in May. United suspended flights to Israel in October at the start of the Israel-Hamas war. Other airlines, such as American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, also halted flights to Tel Aviv, with no announcement on resuming service yet. European carriers like Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss, and Air France have restarted flights to Israel this winter. United will evaluate the possibility of resuming flights to Israel from San Francisco, Chicago, and Dulles airport outside Washington, D.C. in the fall.
