A man died in Crow Wing County Jail after being booked for DWI; investigations ongoing.

A man died in Crow Wing County Jail after being booked for driving while intoxicated. On February 22, jail staff discovered the unresponsive man in a cell at about 9 p.m. Staff attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minnesota Department of Corrections are investigating the incident. The man's identity and cause of death have not been released.
