Nutrien predicts increased potash demand in 2024, despite a 84% drop in Q4 2023 earnings compared to 2022.

Nutrien expects increased potash demand in 2024, as the fertilizer giant reports lower earnings for the fourth quarter of 2023. Despite a 84% drop in earnings compared to the same period in 2022, the company forecasts full-year potash shipments to be between 68 million to 71 million tonnes, up from the 67 million to 68 million in 2023. Nutrien's CEO, Ken Seitz, attributes the increased market stability in the second half of 2023 to lower potash prices, which have led to improved demand in North America.
