Nigerian President Bola Tinubu supports efforts to strengthen the ECOWAS Court of Justice by addressing the issue of unenforced judgments. This follows concerns raised by Nigeria's Attorney-General, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, who urged the court to avoid issuing judgments that cannot be enforced. In response, Chief Justice of Nigeria and chairman of the ECOWAS Judicial Council, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, outlined the ongoing challenge of ensuring rulings translate into concrete action. Two committees have been formed to delve into the court's rules and analyze the current state of enforcing its judgments.
