Laos' Duang Chalern Development Construction Company Group has been granted land concessions to develop a large-scale cattle farm in Bokeo province's northern region, aiming to supply beef to domestic and foreign markets, particularly China. The project, which began in 2021, has already exported over 1,000 cattle to China, Thailand, and Vietnam, generating more than 300 local jobs and contributing to socio-economic development in the province. Laos earned over $1.4 billion from agricultural exports in 2023, with China being the largest purchaser.
