India's Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has approved the acquisition of over 200 BrahMos extended-range supersonic cruise missiles for deployment on Indian Navy warships in a deal worth around ₹19,000 crore. The contract between BrahMos Aerospace, an Indo-Russian multinational aerospace and defense corporation, and the Ministry of Defence is expected to be signed in the first week of March. This significant deal will enhance the Indian Navy's warship capabilities, particularly in anti-ship and attack operations.
