Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, launched an "International Tour for Teachers" program, sending 102 teachers to Singapore for a 5-day visit to learn about new technologies and teaching methods in the education sector. A second batch of 98 teachers will follow in March. The initiative aims to improve the state's education system, which fell to 18th rank, and plans to introduce English medium education from Class 1 in government schools starting from the next academic session.
