Roni Stoneman, a prominent figure in country music and known as "The First Lady of the Banjo," passed away at 85. She was a member of the Stoneman Family band, which became popular in the late 1950s and 1960s. Stoneman gained popularity as a solo artist in the 1970s when she joined the country music variety show 'Hee Haw' and continued performing well into her later years. She was also inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame.
