A passenger on an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Las Vegas allegedly planned an attack to kill another passenger using a makeshift weapon during a mid-flight altercation. Julio Alvarez Lopez was charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon after he allegedly stabbed a fellow passenger in the eye with a weapon fashioned from pens and rubber bands. The incident occurred on January 24th, and Lopez was arrested upon arrival at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
