ABB appoints Morten Wierod as new CEO, replacing Bjorn Rosengren effective August 1.

ABB has appointed Morten Wierod as its new CEO, replacing industry veteran Bjorn Rosengren. Wierod, the head of ABB's electrification business, will take office on August 1, with Rosengren stepping down on July 31 and retiring by the end of the year. Rosengren, who joined ABB in 2020, will assist Wierod during the transition period. Wierod has been with ABB since 1998 and has been a member of its Executive Committee since 2019.
