Ulster Rugby head coach Dan McFarland steps down, with Richie Murphy appointed as interim head coach.

Ulster Rugby confirms head coach Dan McFarland will step down from the province. McFarland joined the province in 2018 and guided Ulster to the PRO14 final in 2020. The team has struggled this season, exiting the Champions Cup in the group stages and currently sitting eighth in the URC table. Current Ireland U20 Head Coach Richie Murphy will take over as interim Head Coach until the end of this season, while Bryn Cunningham will assume greater management responsibilities within the performance function.
