Two teenagers involved in the violent home invasion of rugby union star Toutai Kefu and his family were on bail at the time of the incident. Both 13 and 15 years old at the time, they faced Brisbane Children's Court, where they received detention orders after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including intentionally causing grievous bodily harm. The judge described the crime as one of the worst he had seen in his career.
