Élections Québec probe after couple says they were told to donate to meet minister.

Quebec's elections agency, Élections Québec, is investigating a couple's claim that they were told to donate $100 each to meet Transport Minister Geneviève Guilbault. Antoine Bittar and Élizabeth Rivera made two $100 donations to the governing Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) and disclosed the incident during a legislature committee meeting. The couple's daughter died in a car crash involving a drunk driver, and they were lobbying for a lower legal blood-alcohol content limit in the province. Quebec's election law only allows $100 annual contributions per person, with an additional $100 allowed during election years.
