One person died and two others were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 near Santa Lucia Canyon Road north of Lompoc on Wednesday. The crash occurred around 8:49 a.m., with one person being transported to Marian Regional Hospital with major injuries, and another to Lompoc Hospital with moderate injuries. The highway was reduced to one lane while first responders were on the scene.
