The Nestaweya River Trail at The Forks in Winnipeg closed after 9 days due to mild temperatures and precipitation.

The Nestaweya River Trail at The Forks in Winnipeg had its shortest season ever, closing after just nine days due to mild temperatures, precipitation, and inconsistent melts and freezes. This is in contrast to the 76-day season in 2019 and the 10-kilometer trail in 2018. The Forks North Portage has advised people to stay off the rivers and on-land skating trails will remain open, weather permitting.
