The Professional Soccer Referees Association (PSRA) failed to reach a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the MLS-funded body that manages professional officiating, PRO. The MLS Players Association (MLSPA) has criticized the lockout and use of replacement referees, warning they may jeopardize player health and safety.
