Ghana's Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. John Kumah, announced GH¢1.19bn E-levy collection in 2023 for unemployment initiatives and job creation.
Ghana's Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. John Kumah, revealed that the government collected GH¢1.19 billion from the E-levy in 2023, which will be allocated to initiatives such as the YouStart Programme, the Ghana Enterprise Agency, and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme to tackle unemployment. The government plans to attract domestic investments and Foreign Direct Investments, aiming to create around 500,000 jobs in the medium term.
