Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Faiz Montrage, known as Hajia4Real, has pleaded guilty to laundering funds from a series of romance scams targeting older Americans. As part of a criminal enterprise based in West Africa, Montrage controlled bank accounts that received over $2 million in fraudulent funds. She faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and is required to pay forfeiture and restitution in the amount of $2,164,758.41.
