Florida's Senate unanimously passed a bill that, if signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, would release transcripts from a 2006 grand jury investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's sexual assaults of underage girls. The transcripts might be released sooner through a lawsuit filed by the Palm Beach Post, which is seeking to unseal the grand jury proceedings and reveal why the grand jury returned minimal charges against Epstein in 2008. The bill, which would take effect July 1 if signed, adds that records can be released if the subject of the grand jury inquiry is deceased or if the investigation is related to sexual activity with a minor.
