An empty cargo ship collided with the Lixinsha Bridge in southern China on February 22, resulting in two deaths and three people missing. The incident, which occurred at around 5:30 am, caused part of the bridge to collapse, sending five vehicles, including a motorbike, either into the water or onto the ship below. The ship was traveling between the cities of Foshan and Guangzhou when it crashed into the bridge. The Guangzhou maritime affairs bureau is investigating the cause of the accident, and rescue efforts are ongoing.
