Bears Hall of Famer Steve McMichael, who is battling ALS, will be discharged from the hospital after a week-long stay due to a lung infection. McMichael, 66, was diagnosed with a staph infection called MRSA, which is resistant to certain antibiotics. He was admitted to the hospital with suspected pneumonia and had fluid drained from his lungs and underwent a blood transfusion. Despite his health challenges, McMichael responded well enough to antibiotics and will return home.
