Beyond Meat has launched its fourth-generation core beef platform, Beyond IV, featuring new plant-based patties and ground beef with less saturated fat, less sodium, and more protein. The company has switched from canola and coconut oils to avocado oil, which reduces saturated fat by 60% and makes the new products less salty and higher in protein. The new Beyond Burger patties and Beyond Beef grounds contain 2 grams of saturated fat, 14% of the recommended daily intake of sodium, and 21 grams of protein. The revamped products will be available in the US this spring.
