The American Lung Association report predicts that a shift to zero-emission vehicles and clean power by 2035 could prevent 3 million asthma attacks in children by 2050.

A new report from the American Lung Association suggests that a shift to zero-emission vehicles and clean power could prevent nearly 3 million asthma attacks in children by 2050. The report, titled "Boosting Health for Children: Benefits of Zero-Emission Transportation and Electricity," predicts that if all new passenger vehicles sold by 2035 are zero-emission, all new trucks sold by 2040 are zero-emission, and the nation's electric grid is powered by clean energy by 2035, millions of respiratory symptoms and hundreds of infant lives could be saved over the next 25 years.
