Supreme Court rejects Republican House members' appeal over fines for not wearing masks.

The US Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from three Republican House members who challenged fines for not wearing face coverings on the House floor during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. The court did not comment on the decision, which leaves in place $500 fines issued in May 2021 to Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie and Ralph Norman. The lawmakers, who did not wear masks, were fined for each violation, and the fines were deducted from their salaries.
