Uber Eats is set to launch autonomous robot deliveries in Japan, partnering with robotics firm Cartken and Mitsubishi Electric to introduce sidewalk robots that will deliver Eats orders in parts of Tokyo. This marks Uber's first international expansion of its robotic food delivery service. Cartken's six-wheeled Model C robots, equipped with advanced AI and sensors for navigation, will be used for the delivery service in Tokyo, starting by the end of March.
