Nucor Corp's board approved a $860 million investment for a 650,000-ton rebar micro mill in the Pacific Northwest, which will be the company's largest and will have a production capacity 50% greater than its North Carolina mill. The mill is expected to be completed in two years, pending regulatory approvals. The domestic rebar market is projected to remain strong due to increasing U.S. infrastructure investments.
