NHS early trials show promise for an "olive oil drug" derived from oleic acid in treating glioblastoma, a deadly and incurable form of brain tumor. The drug, known as 2-OHOA, reconfigures cancerous cell membranes to prevent tumor growth or spread. A phase three trial is underway, and if successful, it could offer new treatment options for brain tumors and other cancers.
