Education Minister Paul Givan has approved new build projects for seven schools in Northern Ireland that were initially paused, allowing them to progress in planning. The minister aims to deliver a modern, fit-for-purpose education system that meets the needs of 21st-century society and has urged for further investment in education. The seven schools set to advance to the next stage of planning are Carrickfergus Academy, Loreto College, Coleraine, Dromore High School, Edmund Rice College, Newtownabbey, Portadown College, Mercy College, Belfast, and Malone Integrated College, Belfast.
