During the pandemic, minority ethnic NHS staff in the UK faced higher levels of workplace harassment, discrimination, and unavailability of PPE than their White British colleagues, a study found. The researchers call for urgent action to address ongoing race inequalities in the health service, including inclusion of diversity and inclusion training in professional development, and expansion of the NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard.
