Attorneys representing Georgia slave descendants urge a judge not to dismiss their lawsuit challenging zoning changes that threaten the last Gullah-Geechee community on Sapelo Island. The residents of Hogg Hummock community, descendants of slaves, claim that larger houses permitted by the zoning changes will lead to increased property taxes.
