48-year-old Grand Junction climber rescued after 120-foot fall in Whitewater, Colorado; airlifted to hospital in stable condition.

A 48-year-old Grand Junction climber was rescued after falling 120 feet during a rock climb in Whitewater, Colorado. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Search and Rescue volunteers, Gateway Fire Department, CareFlight, and BLM responded to the scene, using a drone to locate the climber and his companion. The man was airlifted to the hospital in stable condition. Highway 141 was temporarily closed for rescue operations.
