Tama County woman Karina Cooper has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her husband, Ryan Cooper, who was shot in the face on June 18, 2021. The Tama County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation arrested Cooper on February 19, 2024, nearly three years after her husband's death. The investigation into Cooper's murder began in June 2021, when authorities found her sitting on top of her husband's body. The case remains under investigation.
